PARENTS WITH KIDS

Coming to the festival with kids?
We all know what a challenge it is to keep kids entertained. Anifilm is open to all age categories and kids are welcome! We are looking forward to seeing you at screenings for kids, animation workshops, theatre performances and other events in the programme that we have prepared for you. You can also leave your children in the care of our Kids Club.

Let’s go to cinema!

How to select the best event
Screenings, theatre performances, animation workshops or film dubbing? Parents with kids of all ages can choose from various different events every day at Anifilm. You can filter events based on their suitability for kids, days and times, preferred activities or the title. The complete programme will go online in April.
Please be mindful to other festival goers and take your children only to events marked with the smiley face emoji. The age recommendations were given by the festival programmers or film distributors and may not align with your kid’s needs, so they are really just recommendations.
How to get a Kid’s Festival Pass?
We have a variety of festival passes for kids based on how many days you are planning to spend at the festival. For kids up to 15 years of age you should get a Visitor KID pass. They can be bought for 1, 2 or 3 days or for the whole duration of the festival. You can find more information about the passes on the link below.

Animated Stories – exhibition
The Animated Stories interactive exhibition in Liebieg Palace will take you into the world of animation and optical illusions. It focuses on the phenomenon of persistence of vision, the key element of animation and film. The curator team, Studio OPAK, used the fact that entertainment, art and science have developed hand in hand. As science has revealed the basis of human perception, the process has been reflected in the interests of artists in new artistic movements. And art, on the other hand, has played a significant role in the development of imagination and visual experience of any given period. Visitors to this exhibition will have the chance to explore optical illusions at various stations. They can look forward to an experience that is suitable not only for children (including pre-schoolers) but also for their parents.
