Anifilm in Liberec? One of the best showcases of animated film in Europe with international renown. Each year in May, this historical town in the north of Bohemia transforms into an epicentre of film. It is here where the audience can see the best world animation competing in eight categories, from feature films to games to virtual reality. The Czech Horizon competition places Czech films in the limelight. And the winners in Anifilm’s short film category can compete for an Oscar!

But Anifilm is not just about competitions. Visitors can enjoy a rich
out-of-competition programme screened in unique thematic blocks, an inspirational and varied Industry Programme and a wide selection of accompanying events – exhibitions, animation workshops, concerts, theatre performances and much more.
