Czech Horizon at Anifilm 2026

Anifilm has also announced the competitors in the national competition Czech Horizon. As usual, Czech Horizon will offer a comprehensive view of Czech animation in the past year. Seven shorts and one feature film, Tales from the Magic Garden, will compete in the short and feature film competition. The student category with its 28 works is the largest category and it features shorts by students of FAMU, UMPRUM, Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín, the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art as well as the University of Ostrava and FAMO Písek. The Series, Music Video and Commissioned Work categories have also been selected. The awarded works, selected by the Council of Animated Film, will be announced at the opening ceremony on 5 May.
