Anifilm is now calling for entries!

From 1 September to 31 December 2026, you can submit your animated work, including VR and video games, free of charge to the competitions of the upcoming Anifilm, taking place in Liberec from 4 to 9 May 2027. Don’t miss your chance! As usual, you can choose from the following competition categories.

International competition:

• Feature Film for Adults

• Feature Film for Children & Young Audience

• Short Film

• Student Film

• Abstract and Non-narrative Animation

• Music Video

• VR Film

• Videogame

• Student Videogame

International Competition winners receive cash prizes (more details here). We would also like to remind you that Anifilm is an Academy Award® qualifying festival, meaning that the winner of the International Competition’s Short Film category may qualify for consideration in the Oscar® race.

Czech Horizon (national competition):

• Short and Feature Film

• Student Film

• Series

• Music Video

• Commissioned Work

Only works produced and/or premiered after 1 January 2026 that have not previously competed at Anifilm are eligible for all competitions. For the video game competitions, the game must have been officially released between 1 January 2026 and May 2027.

Submission is free of charge and takes place via our online submission form. Follow the link to access the form. You will first need to log in. If you have submitted your work to Anifilm before, you already have a login and password. If not, simply register for an account.

The results of the selection committee will be announced in February 2027.
