Short and student films selected

You can look forward to seeing 34 short films and 35 films created by students on the big screen in Liberec. Dozens of shorts by both acclaimed and debuting filmmakers will offer a deep dive into the current animation around the world. The films reflect the war in Ukraine, explore powerful personal topics, express worries about the climate and the advent of AI, search for identity and self-acceptance or offer escape to fantasy worlds. Some of them also don’t lack absurdity and humour. Sixty-nine different views of the world, different animation techniques and approaches, including four diverse creations by Czech authors.
