OPEN CALL: Build Hardware for Anifilm!

Anifilm is looking for creators and creative teams to design Anifilm 2026 game hardware and participate in the creation of Anifilm’s game archive! The year 2026 will be very special for us – Anifilm celebrates 25 years of existence and 10 years of its Game Competition. This year, we want to give our visitors a chance to play all the winning games from the previous years and give an opportunity to game developers with experience in building game hardware.

What we’re looking for:
An original concept for a gaming device or installation that:

• enables the replay of winning games from previous editions,

• connects with the festival’s visual identity,

• and offers possible extensions or gamification of the game zone.

Collaboration
The selected author, author team, or collective will work closely with the festival’s architect and the author of the festival’s visual identity. Anifilm will contribute to the production, materials, and technical execution of the proposed design.

What we offer
CZK 20,000 honorarium for the winning proposal

Winner announcement: by 14. 3. 2026

The festival’s organizing team reserves the right not to award the prize in the event of a low number of submissions or insufficient quality of the submitted proposals.
