Liberec is a City full of Colours!
Liberec is green! The city lies in a valley between the Jizera Mountains and the Ještěd Ridge. Everyone’s first trip has to lead to the top of Ještěd, the symbol of the city and the entire region. Every year, nature mixes a varicoloured palette in the Liberec Botanical Garden where everything is in bloom. The neighbouring Liberec ZOO is home to many animals coloured in interesting shades of colours including red, green and blue. And what can people do with colours? In the Liberec Regional Gallery, you can visit the exhibitions Heinrich von Liebeg – Collector and Patron, Czech Art Collection and Golden age of Dutch Painting. Each era has its own colour and historic tone as can be seen in the new exhibitions of the Museum of North Bohemia named Beauty and Utility and Touches of North in the Liberec Fragments section. While visiting the Technical Museum Liberec, you can enjoy the shining coachworks of luxurious cars from the Kingdom of Automobiles exhibition. Also the animals from the Mesozoic era hidden in DinoPark Plaza Liberec are a pretty colourful bunch. And what’s the colour of fun? In Centrum Babylon’s Aquapark, it’s blue and in the exhibition titled Human hosted by the scientific and educational centre iQlandia, it’s red. The main star of the exhibition is a robot who is so chatty that he was chosen to be to spokesrobot of the European City of Culture – Liberec 2028 campaign.
