The film won many awards at festivals e.g. in Berlin, Ljubljana and Lisbon. It also won the grand prize at the SICAF Festival in Korea.

The Tarantella dance is part of an ancient ritual of southern Italy, particularly Apulia. The belief is that only that ritual of music and dance will heal the victims of the tarantula wolf spider’s bite. The film, made with a combination of hand drawing and computer animation, won several awards at various European festivals including the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
