Anifilm is on! Looking forward to seeing you in Liberec
Latest government restrictions and the re-introduction of the state of emergency do not limit film screenings and therefore Anifilm will be taking place as planned with a programme you can find at. The festival website also includes an online catalogue of films and other festival programmes. Supporters of animation can thus already plan their festival programme.  The organisers firmly believe that despite some restrictions and hygienic measures, they will be able to prepare a unique and safe cultural event for the entire Liberec region and its guests.

Tips from the Anifilm Game Programme
Game enthusiasts will have an opportunity to play all 15 computer games and 7 VR games and projects nominated to the Anifilm competitions in the festival’s Game and VR Zone. The zone will also present the work of several independent studios - let us mention for instance Warhorse, the authors of the acclaimed game Kingdom Come and Charles Games – the team behind the award-winning historical adventure Attentat 1942. As for lectures, you can look forward to Marta Fijak from the Polish studio 11bit – the designer of Frostpunk, German-Polish designer Marek Plichta, editor of LEVEL and Retro Nation Pavel Dobrovský and Jakub Dvorský from Amanita Design, who will introduce the studio’s latest game Creaks

Liberec Chateau to Host Exhibitions
Apart from films, the Anifilm visitors should not miss out on the festival’s exhibition programme concentrated in the festival centre at the chateau. You will find puppets and decorations from the films A Colourful Dream, Daughter and other puppet films from the project Three Voices. Julie Lupačová’s audio-visual installation Vlnění is exactly in line with the festival’s theme. The chateau foyer will be infected by the famous virus of (not only) Czech animation Jan Čařík, whose comic strips moved with Anifilm from Třeboň. Initiative Domased helps with battling the real virus. You can find the initiative in the chateau’s Red Wing along with posters for events Prasení and Sós (both will be held at Anifilm). All three are spontaneous activities which prove that the local scene is alive, and its community awareness has strengthened. The exhibition list would not be complete without creative interventions by regional subjects. Popular science and entertainment centre iQLANDIA has got its own space in the chateau as well the glass and crystal manufacturer Preciosa who are as of this year making the festival award Animorpha. Last but not least, Ivo Lauda and his students from the Faculty of Arts and Architecture of the Technical University in Liberec will present the results of their study of the future of augmented reality in graphic arts and exhibitions in their exhibition Fragmenty.
