The first ever pitching event of the Czech Horizon Grant supported by the PPF Foundation will take place on 3rd May at the Anifilm Festival. From the submitted projects, the selection committee has selected 10 projects which will be introduced to the public and the jury at the pitching event in Liberec. “We see Czech animation as an excellent example of Czech talents succeeding on in international scale. Anifilm creates a unique environment for presenting Czech projects and their authors, sharing experience and promoting cooperation throughout Europe. These are all reasons why we at the PPF Foundation decided to support the festival repeatedly. In addition to that, we have been looking for a way to support the filmmakers themselves. That’s why we initiated the contest for the Czech Horizon Grant supported by the PPF Foundation. The grant awards financial support for production of Czech animated short films and supplements the PPF Foundation Award for the Best Czech Short Film, one of the categories of the Czech Horizon competition.” explains Jana Tomas Sedláčková of the PPF Foundation.
