Industry Programme

As already mentioned, the industry programme will offer presentations by most of Anifilm’s jurors. Eva Nečasová will explore the world of game development and talk about modern technologies in art. Tracing from her own experience in independent video games, Claudia Molinari is going to stress the importance of (involuntary?) memory and the influence of identity throughout the visual design process. Céline Veltman will convince us how important is a seemingly wasted time for the creative process.

In the Work in Progress section, three feature animated films in the making will be presented – Living Large by Czech director Kristina Dufková, The Websters Movie by Slovak director and ANIFILM 2022 juror Katarína Kerekesová and Hanta (based on the book Too Loud a Solitude by Bohumil Hrabal) by Mexican director Emilio Ramos.
On the funny note and humorous topic, Canadian writer Jaime Weinman will examine the craft of perfectly-timed violence behind the Warner Bros. studio Looney Tunes production. Jaroslav Švelch, games researcher and scholar from the Charles University in Prague will introduce recent collective book Video Games and Comedy. In Indie Menu, Jakub Dvorský, the Amanita Design founder, will present the best from indie computer games market of the last year. And last but not least, during the whole Friday the 13th the Czech animation industry will attend Creatoola Animarket, the largest local animation networking event that ANIFILM organize together with the Association of Czech Animation Film (ASAF) and its platform Creatoola.
