And What Does Anifilm have in Store for Children?

As every year, children can enjoy Anifilm as viewers and also as young animators. During the whole time of the festival, the children can attend the ČEZ School of animation, where they can try to make their own animated films using various techniques – from manual to computer – under the tutelage of experienced professionals. The children can also look forward to an exciting film programme – competition of feature films for children, the series about Maxipes Fík and films from the ANIMO section which includes blocks composed of classical Czech animated films and Czech Television’s latest Bedtime Stories. Other programmes include iconic series produced by Cartoon Network. Also some of our jury members will present their programmes for children – Argentinian Juan Pablo Zaramella will introduce his latest series The Tiniest Man in the World, Belgian Stéphane Aubier will, together with Indian, Horse and Cowboy, take everyone to A Town Called Panic and tell his story about Ernest and Celestine. He will also present a compilation of his series Pic Pic André, which is not very known in the Czech Republic, but very popular in the world. Our traditional section called Taking Stock will fill the Třeboň square with feature films from 2016: Kubo and the Two Strings, Academy Award-winning Zootopia, popular Finding Fory, musical Sing and the adventurous Secret Life of Pets.
