Animation Workshops and  three-day VAF are finishing

Today is the last chance to take advantage of Animation Workshops at the Beseda and to relax in the Chill-out Zone (chateau courtyard), and today also marks the culmination of the three-day Visegrad Animation Forum, our programme for professionals.

This year’s Anifilm has focused extensively on the UPA studio. In the Focus section, you’ll today find a series of films by other studios with which UPA successfully competed (such as Warner Bros and MGM) as well as Tee Bosustow’s lecture UPA’S FIRST-TIME DIRECTORS.
At 1pm, audiences can learn more about the BEAUTY OF ANIMATION PAINTING through a selection of short films made using the glass painting technique, followed by a discussion with the directors of the presented films, Michaela Müller and Lucie Sunková (moderated by Michal Procházka).

Animo TV presents the best animated television series. Today at 4.30pm, we present the popular series for teenagers ADVENTURE TIME, which includes elements of comedy and fantasy. Where else to go after school than the Czech Television Auditorium (Sál České televise) at the chateau!

At 7pm at the J. K. Tyl Theatre, we will hold the FESTIVAL’S CLOSING CEREMONY, moderated by Perla Kotmelová and Tomáš Měcháček. Here, you will hear the winners of the main Anifilm prize as well as the films receiving the jury’s special mention. At the same time, we will be screening the Oscar-winning Brave on Masaryk Square. Admission free!
