Visegrad Animation Forum to Present Animated Feature Films in Development

The international event for film professionals – Visegrad Animation Forum (VAF) – will be held from 1st to 3rd May. As usual, the Forum organizes a competition for animated films in development. The competition has two categories – short films and series / TV special. This year, the event will also introduce a third category for animated feature films in development. The competition is organized by VAF in collaboration with Anifilm and the newly established platform CEE Animation.
The competing projects include Polish film Fatima and the Secret Treasure (dir. Bartek Kik), Hungarian film Helka (dir. Lászlo Nyikos), Czech film Jack Russell the Planet Saviour (dir. Ondřej Pecha), Macedonian fantasy film John Vardar vs. the Galaxy (dir. Goce Cvetanovski), Czech anthology film Of Unwanted Things and People (dir. David Súkup) and Polish film Schlemiel (dir. Włodzimierz Matuszewski). The winning film will directly qualify to the Cartoon Movie 2019 (Bordeaux, France). The competition will be held on 2nd May at 15:15 in the Třeboň Puppet Theatre.
